Softening system overhauled with Yourtech

Dunea, drinking water company and nature manager in the west of South Holland, supplies tasty, reliable and relatively soft drinking water to nearly 1.4 million customers. In collaboration with our partner Yourtech from Soesterberg, we overhauled the lime pellet discharge in the water softening hall in Scheveningen. We provided the installation with new conveyor screws, wear plates, intermediate bearings and new coating. All motors and gearboxes were removed, completely overhauled and reinstalled.

The work was partly outside, in the middle of the beautiful dune area. Despite some challenges during the work, such as bad weather, we completed the project successfully. This part of the softening system can now go on for another 10 years!
